Filming for John Frankenheimer's Grand Prix! Saw it at a cinerama theatre in 1966. Next largest screen to an IMAX. Curved, as well. The split screen ssequence of the exhausts in the opening scene were phenomenal, as well as an industry first. This setup for filming the actors in-car was far from the craziest shit they pulled to get the in-car and wreck footage in pre-computer days. The story line sucked but the cinematography was amazing. Won Academy Awards for Sound, Film Editing, and Sound Effects.
