I heard of one guy using 3M auto emblem adhesive. I’ve got some out in the garage.
When I tear it down again to rebuild, I’ll deal with that emblem too.

Heck I was thinking tube and tile silicone with some tape till it cures. You could remove it with a hair dryer and leave no damage but my fug it won’t come off till you want it too...

Go by a auto body shop. Ask from few inches of 3m double sided tape. Comes in various widths and thickness

I have two widths of the 3M tape in the garage.

Buy the 3M VHB tape. VHB stands for very high bond, and it is. It is printed on the roll that Glen posted a graphic of.

Pretty sure that’s what I have.
I use it to hold the gurney strip to my wing on the BMW.
Original was narrow, using two strips. And I bought wider to replace it since it rips off eventually… haven’t bothered Re-sticking it because the car needs clear (at least)…
