I'm using Taralab mid level cables. I sold Elroy a whole set. I sold my Audio Magic speaker wires for a small chunk of change. I'm keeping my ICs

After you clean all the connections I use to use the Deoxit Red. It look like a finger nail polish bottle. The best wires I ever had were Goertz. I used them for speaker wires and ICs, and in my speakers. They were amazing.

I wasn't kidding about the Zip wire on a Macintosh. I have proved it to people with their own equipment.

Na just woke up again and started drinking coffee. I'm going to need an ARK soon.

This PL 700B has no finesse. It is in your face there jammin clear. I mean in your face saying hey I'm here listen to me. LOL Just jammin. I can see why bands used these amps. I'm glad I bought that Micro it may be a entry level; but it does sound very good.

Do you really think an audio component designer starts out pursuing a certain"sound", or is their goal to faithfully reproduce whatever comes to the inputs as neutrally as possible?

Expensive cables are overrated. IMO Spend your dollars on better components and speakers. Open up your speakers and see what gauge of wiring they use inside? How big are the traces on the circuit boards inside of your components? :cyclops:

Good high power sections don't have traces, point to point, and if they do its 2 ounce with wire layed on top to reinforce current carrying capacity.
I was more thinking of IC's and carrying line level signals. But your right how big is the leg on the output transistors compared to your average speaker wire? Why don't they make 10 gauge legs? :rabbit:

The US amps sound different than the Japanese and the Brits. It may not be the goal; but it is the sound they end up selling. They begin with what is tried and true for them. It is that sound. Then they try to improve it.

I bought some good sized speaker wires in the late 70's but they are still on my burn in machine. I wonder if they are ready to use? :cyclops:

Your forgetting alot of things that are still not understood. The conductor. My Audio Magics are silver. I'm a fanatic about the silver thing. That is just me. Don't even ask the price. The molecular structure of the conductor. How do you get that signal from point A to point B with the least resistance.
