FM works fine but the AM is DEAD...I live less than 1/2 a mile from a 5000 watt station with great oldies and a ready nice sounding signal, you could get it in your fillings almost just 12 miles away before they replaced the ancient Gates BC5E with a much nicer Harris Gates Five PDM...absolutely no AM. That has to get fixed, my middle name has an A and an M and right now there's no D NOR X.

good gravy!

I tried to edit and got the add 3 characters message again and I've had to close and use the auto-save a few times...

What I wanted to type was there are no bad lights, just a loose joint or cracked board and I was doofusing and had it on AUX, not AM...all of that is FINE or fixable without much hassle.

I can adjust the AM bandspread AND frequency response on the board too, which made it a great AM stereo conversion on the last one.

Is doofusing a type of Dxing? :rabbit:

Yep I thought I checked out both FM and AM. And yes I did replace a bunch of dial lights and at times they all work. You just need to track down the intermittent power source whether a connector board or solder point. I just didn't have time to go any further. If you tap on the top or dial they will all light for a few minutes.
