Excellent condition 700b and 4000 What do you think..

I have my eye on a PL 700b and an 4000 preamp combo. Excellent condition both working fine. What do you guys think price wise ? I have already asked him if he would sell just the amp but he seems hesitant to do that.

I did. He wants 1000.00 for both or 800.00 for the amp. I agree about the 4000 . I do not want that. I have read enough here to know that. Either way I am going with Lee's recommendation. Not over 700.00 for both. Just cannot see paying much more than that. He knows I am still interested though. If I get it you know I will up pictures. Thanks.
