You have to adjust exposure appropriately- two photo composite needs 1/2 “ideal” exposure time each; three need 1/3 each and so on. I did these with film too. You released the teeth in the film so it wouldn’t advance but you needed to cock the shutter...
I did some watch photography and had to use these tricks sometimes. Also a circular polarizer filter can either add or subtract the glare from the glass/plastic display, meter covers etc.
