Tubes are all about point to point wiring ain't they. Nice work Paul. You should have no problem with a White Oak conversion.

Not always. I used to be of the mind set that it had to be p-t-p to be good but my Juicy Music BBX changed all that (along with a few other things).

I ran a "burn in" cd through this for about 24 hours to help in the process. The Chorus II's could use it also on the recap.

Here was the signal chain this morning:

Shpongle "The God Particle" ep > Marantz 8003 SACD> B&K Pro10MC> DIYTube ST-35 clone> Klipsch Chorus II's.

Cables are Kimber PBJ from cd to pre, Kimber Heros w/ WBT connectors from pre to amp and Kimber 4TC from amp to speakers.

I'm not sure what Mach level a 17wpc tube amp reaches but I can guarantee if you were on my block you were awake this morning

Yep, noisy as all get out.

I do like the earthquake quality lows "God Particle " has, that and track 2 "Tales of the Inexpressible"

I agree with lee, tube amps should be point to point, circuit boards should be left to transistors...
Theres no fun with everything layed out already, plus it takes away the learning and thought process....Picture 012.jpg[/attachment:3m14585z]Picture 011.jpg[/attachment:3m14585z]Picture 010.jpg[/attachment:3m14585z]
