When we lived in Carlsbad, Barb and I would often eat at the diner in Vaughn, New Mexico. It had a 1950's vibe.

Vernon diner in Vernon CT is one of my favorites. Great blueberry pie.

We have one - City Cafe - in downtown where we always took the artists after shows because no one else's kitchen was open late enough. Bars yes, and that was good if no one wanted food. But if food was involved, it was City Cafe. The place has a 20 page menu and the biggest slices of cake in a display case you'll ever see. Mark Russell couldn't get over them; I think he added something about them to his routine after he played our house.

Montana Cafe ? I hate it for Bocephus. lost his daughter a few years back and now his wife. Montgomery Alabama. Where Hank Sr. and Mrs Audrey are buried. Been there many time on outings with my Dad. He loved Ole Hank.
