I don't really need to explain this...

Of course.

Better to buy something that is complete with original packaging/service history/receipts as it is a possible indicator that the owner has cared for the item well.

I will let you know, but at the moment I ran out of cellotape.
LOL!

Using tape is a sure way to ruin anything...

BTW, I am now playing the '70s Suite'.

Funky sh*t indeed. :color:

As im sure ive mentioned before I use the MDR-V400's. They are 20 years old and have never let me down. As long as these things keep playing I dont think ill ever look for another pair. They do a fine job monitoring tape when im recording. Pretty much the only use ive ever had for them really.
Ben: Headphones lasting that long are worth keeping. My son has Sonys as well for DJing.

Nando.

Well we've shown in here how long a pair of cans can last.... After more than 30 years of usage some pieces need a renewal, but its worth the job!

@Nando: These K241's are sounding beautiful, and to be honest I didn't expect a sound like this coming from a pair of headphones made in 1979.....

I also have these old beasts with their original storage box.

My brother currently has them though.

Ben: Those look like 70's Pioneer headphones.

Miles: They sure made some good stuff in the old days. Not to knock any of the newer headphones... who am I kidding... I am knocking some of the newer stuff out there.

Not positive on their vintage Nando, but yes, classic Pioneer cans.
