I always find it odd that these kind of articles mention the "goosebump effect". To suggest that music can connect on an emotional level only through vinyl is complete garbage!

The Independent would do well to ask it's writers to do more RESEARCH, and to proofread.

The article has forgotten that half-speed mastering has been around for at least 35 years (Columbia/CBS tried it in the late seventies/early 80s and ELO's Discovery had a half speed mastered version) and they are confused by saying the TAPE was played at 16 2/3 rpm. Tape speeds are measured in inches or centimeters per second, or course. Linear/non-linear, depression/recession...

Well meaning, but not up to the Independent's usual standards.
