David Lindley, Multi-Instrumentalist With Jackson Browne’s Band, Dies

I remember him for his work on the "Sweet Sunny North" cd's - wonderful music.
 
Massive talent, multi-instrumentalist that will be greatly missed. He had a wonderful sense of humor also, I read he could imitate Jimmy Stewart to a T.
 
I bought the El Rayo X album when it came out specifically for the track Mercury Blues but thought the rest of the LP was dreck. I knew nothing of David Lindley other than that song. I didn't care for Jackson Browne, never owned any of his albums so never knew the two were connected.

One of these years I should listen to El Rayo X again, maybe time will have made me warm up to it.
