I hear mixed reviews of Crown amps these days, most either love them or hate them, very little middle ground..... How about QSC??? I see more positive than negative reviews. I have been looking for a power amp for my steel guitar and QSC keeps floating to the top of the list.

Thats a very kind offer of you to do that for a member Larry. I will keep that in mind. My brother will be checking his local music pro some time this week for me to inquire their price off the shelf. If I may ask, what kind of a discount do you receive?
I would have to look did you find one. I get reseller price.

The price on the link for me was 299. I havent heard from my brother about it yet so he likely didnt make it down to the local shop today before they closed.

These guys have some nice things also. Also have an acct. http://www.cedist.com/products/vacuum_tubes. Maybe JR wholesale also. Can't remember. I am a firm believer in not paying retail. Music Hall, Tara Lab and Sanus dealer. Plus there are a lot of connections in here. Some Frankensteins were created here. I don't mind helping. Sometimes I'm a little lethargic in my actions. The lights are on but no one is home. Want a Tape Loader. LOL

yes !crown drivecore are so bas ass!top of the line in Chipper copps book!!just sayin

I been looking into these Crown Drivecore amps. The power and price point caught my attention. I believe there is a dealer for these amps out where my brother lives. Anyone heard anything good or bad about these amps? I guess worst case scenario it would always be a decent back up amp somewhere down the road when I no longer "need" a second amp. Been searching high and low to find something to replace the 1801 that was removed from the setup not long ago.

Any thoughts? Recommendations?

:kermit:swear to God 1if you want god to hear your sound !go crown !!!!!! i am Chipper Copp and I approve of this message!

A little bit. My brother picked it up for me today. Has the box sitting in his place now. He'll be here tomorrow afternoon. No doubt we'll be crushing mad pint's.

Ben: Is TH member, Robert (Eminence1963), using those Crown amplifiers? The anticipation must be killing you now that you have the amp. Let's hear those Boses rock!

Nando.
