Hehe, whether we like it or not this place is divided, I suggest we do teams geographically, we got the Big East of jbeckva, speakerman1, styx and tapepath.

The lone Confederate Rebel down south nakdoc

The Chicago Mobsters Fairchild and skywavebe

Us out here The PAC 5 Rex, Laatch55, Laatch84, stuwee and Orange

His Unholyness alone as Canuk Mafia

And last but not least, The Three Stooges of the North rtp_burnsville, FF and Webby

1. You have to be opposed to Capital Punishment, but support Abortion on Demand.

I agree with whatever the court have ruled on this subject

2. You have to believe that businesses create oppression and government creates prosperity.

I don't agree.

3. You have to believe that guns in the hands of the law abiding Americans are a threat, but U.S. Nuclear weapons technology in the hands of North Korean or Chinese Communists is not a threat.

Both are threat.

4. You have to believe there was no art before federal funding.

I don't agree

5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by documented cyclical changes in the earth's climate than by soccer moms driving Ford Explorers.

Both can contribute to global warming but I am not worried about it.

6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.

If we have quite few homo sexuals then it must occur frequently in nature or there is something in the water.

7. You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.

I don't agree.

8. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach third graders to read is somehow qualified to teach those same third graders about sex.

I don't agree.

9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but weirdo tree huggers who have never been outside of San Francisco do.

Both can care to some degree.

10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually having done something to earn it.

Yes and no, nothing is black and white.

11. You have to believe that Mel Gibson spent $25 Million of his own money to make "The Passion Of The Christ" for financial gain only.

I don't know enough about it but it could be.

12. You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, but the ACLU is good, because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.

Both can be bad or good depending upon how crazy the member is.

13. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.

Both are too high.

14. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to U.S. History than Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison or John Browning.

No I don't believe, but if you toss in Al Gore then it is a tie. :cyclops:

15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides are not.

All are to some degree, but that doesn't necessarily make them bad.

16. You have to believe that Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi are normal, very nice people.

They seem as normal as Newt Gingrich and George Bush.

17. You have to believe that the only reason Socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.

I don't like pure socialism, but I like the fact the people are working for the common good and have some empathy for those less fortunate.

18. You have to believe Conservatives telling the truth belong in jail but a liar and sex offender belong in the White House.

Extreme conservatives are as bad as extreme liberals.

19. You have to believe that homosexual parades featuring drag queens, transvestites and bestiality should be Constitutionally protected, but manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

Both should be protected.

20. You have to believe that illegal democrat party funding by the Communist Chinese Government is somehow in the best interest of the United States.

Never heard of this one. Kinda like The Republican funding by the Youth Hitler movement.

21. You have to believe that it's OK to give Federal workers the day off on Christmas, but it's not OK to say "Merry Christmas!"

The last part is crap I say Merry Christmas and if people don't like it f em and let the bob cat toss em into the pit head first.

22. You have to believe that this message is part of the "vast, Right Wing conspiracy.

No I think this is part of the man has never been on the moon and the JFK death conspiracy as well as the Bush blew up the twin towers conspiracy, heck he didn't even have enough brains to determine whether some back assward Nation had weapons of mas destruction. :bootyshake: :cyclops: :thumbright:

You make the choice?

Under George Bushes Presidency the unemployment rate went from 3.9% to 7.8% +3.9%
Under Barrack Obama Presidency the unemployment rate went from 7.8% to 9.2% +1.4%

Under George Bushes Presidency the US Debt to GDP increased +20.3%
Under Barrack Obama Presidency the US Debt to GDP increased +9.0%

True Obama has 2 more years. So tell me again how we would like to go back the the bush days.

I believe that mass slaughter of cattle means a price I can deal with some to make myself happy at dinnertime.

I believe Whitney Houston is an alter ego of Natasha Fatale.

I am certain that everything I eat will be the same in the end.

I believe Lucifer is one of Alan Parsons' best instrumentals.

I beleive a rich tribute site honoring Al Stewart must be lovingly crafted if it hasn't already.

I believe Mick Fleetwood should return to his roots and record as such.

I believe I don't like spiders and snakes, and that ain't what it takes to love me like I wanna be loved by you.

If you leave me now, you won't take the very heart of me. but LEAVE MY GEORGE BENSON STUFF HERE!

If Don Johnson had Sheena Easton WHY did he need Melanie Griffith?

Well I did learn some things digging. We have 700,000 Gold Bars at Fort Knox. If we went back to the gold standard our dollar would go sky high. I think what gets me is this global economy and global this and that. Going to the UN for approval to go after Libya and not our Congress. Even with NATO in command we are flying 70% of the sorties. Their are a lot of things I do not like about this President. Have I been affected by this economy? In only one way. I owe more on my house than it is worth. Gas prices are cutting into Carly's wages.

I have friends who have lost their homes and businesses. I am very fortunate in alot of ways.

I think Rosevelt repealed the Gold Standard in the 30's for a good reason, he knew it wouldn't last and that it would only lead to heartache down the road in the long term  so what to do? I dunno.

btw, I saw a special on Ft. Knox on the history channel, the showed B&W film footage of it being built and of the only time it was ever opened to the general public. They also showed this local young man who got a job counting all the bars for the census for lack of a better word. It was facinating, I can't remember how many bars there were in there, but 100,000 seems like a low number. So what the hell happened to all of it??

And wasn't the movie 'Die Hard III' based on fact? There's a huge world bank in NYC with gold from countries all over the planet stored in vaults? Let's take theirs!!!

At $1500 an once the US Should have enough Gold in Fort Knox to back every dollar in circulation. Most of the gold that was at Fort Knox is now in foreign countries and they years ago traded their dollars for gold when it was allowed.

I may be wrong but I think Mr. Carter did that. The reason the GBP is still worth more is because t is backed by Sterling Silver.

Printing all that money to keep interest rates down didn't help.

Crafty Limeys!! Pounds Sterling, I get it now DOH!
DUH!

I found it very interesting how GB pushed so hard for the euro then backed out at the end knowing how it would drastically reduce the value of the British pound.
I thought it was because they still hated the Germans, and Bonn wanted to control everything :? :?:
