Hehe.. something tells me I'm an ebil heretic with this, but hey... this is good stuff.

Here's a quick 1 minute demo of a recording I did. Basically the source is the EMU 0404 sound card, while the "recorder" per se is the M-Audio 24/96. Take a look at the frequency response and range on the peaks while it plays.

This is why I have a tough time sticking a cassette in the LX5. I'm over at the "Dark Side" at the moment.. you too can come over to the dark side.. (makes Darth Vader sounds... heheheh)

Give it a lil to load up.. this aint youtube...

Hey man, I still set levels and hit the pause and record buttons...

Both are the recording. The last bar is 36K so obviously we don't go that high in frequency response. But the bar next to it is 18K. That is to demonstrate the overall frequency response you can achieve. Specs for the 24/96 -

Freq Response - 22Hz-22kHz, -0.4, +/-0.4dB
SNR - > 101dB
THD - Less than .002 %

I'm confussed as to what I'm looking at. Need to slow down the bar graph. Was trying to watch the peaks can't watch at that fast.

The overall graph goes from 32 on the low end to 36K on the high end. Amplitude wise, it is from -100db to 0.

Heh.. guess you guys have to just "be there". It's difficult to be able to appreciate without ya actually here listening.
