Colonoscopy-screening does not prevent colorectal cancer as well as previously assumed

I'm waiting to learn when I go for my 2nd colonoscopy - supposed to be this year sometime.

The first was three years ago and I woke up during the process. Heard some talking, looked around at what was on the monitors, said "thanks for the tour" and went back to sleep.

The proceedure was a non-event except they would not let me leave afterward until someone physically showed up to drive me home. The beforehand prep was not so enjoyable. Had to stay within dashing distance of a toilet for a day ot two.

The anesthesia is nice though. The doc said I would see dancing girls.

I'm so hard to put under, just lookin at that shit and I'm out...had my colonoscopy 3 years ago. In Casper, so we had a motel room, still don't know what the staff thought, they wouldn't leave more that 2 rolls of toilet paper at a time. Man my ass as raw...

as a younger man i had a pilonidal cyst...the doctor did a primary closure after removal...a new procedure at that time...this called for everything to be squeaky clean...inside and out...after the 6th enema...i told the orderly that the doctor said repeat until clear...and it did not have to be clear enough to drink...must have tugged on the heart strings...as it was not repeated a 7th time...later i found out they found a piece of hubba bubba bubble gum i swallowed in the 4th grade...

They found two polyps on my last scope, non malignant. Even if the ‘scope is 50% effective I’ll do it. The prep is miserable, but I think it’s worth enduring.

Not if it don't make a difference. I'll bypass the tools up the ass if it makes NO difference.
