Zander looks like Bret Michaels with the beat-up cowboy, they all look like a modern country band I guess. I don't know who the drummer is. Looks like the keyboardist is playing a Roland (Fantom X6?)

It's in support of 'The Latest' and classics. Surrender is currently playing.

Check for repeats and other showings on PBS station subchannels.

This is a nice treat!

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't paid too much attention since ACL kind of changed their focus a few years ago and started featuring hipster and alternative music as opposed to the roots music that had always been it's bread and butter.

Bun E. Carlos has quit touring with Cheap Trick recently due to health problems. Bummer! If you get a chance, buy the live dvd CT did of them playing the "Sgt. Pepper" album in it's entirety. It's killer.

You can also see it online at the PBS.org website.

I think the revised format has actually been a saving grace. It reflects the music scene there a lot more realistically and brings a new generation with talents we may not have known of into focus just when some of us were wondering where the good NEW stuff was at. You may sacrifice a song or two for the interview segments but this too is good and hearing the viewpoints of younger artists has really helped me to get into the music even more.

Some of the bands from below the border are incredible!
