OK hoser's, I'm off to listen to the 'new' speakers, I just love these Celestions, everyone needs to have a nice pair of British 2-ways in their home, nothing quite like tyem!!

Stuwee: I hope it gives you great service until you are able to once again have MLs. You certainly deserved some heavy petting with a couple of big events happening in your life, recently: a move to a new place, new job, having to downsize your system.

Hay dudes, here's the fun thing, I can hear things from a waaaay diff perspective, I can listen to these at low levels...nearfield, a whole new way to listen to tunes, no Mach 5 high SPL, pressurize the air in the room stuff, I can Hear into the mix better, very different, me likey.

On another note dingus, aka Scott is sending me a pair of AR Connesoiur 40's, a nice 3 way with a pretty high rating from those who have heard them, the Celestions will go into the bedroom 'Love Lounge' rig for smooth late night sessions :mrgreen: with the SAE's driving them just like the old days :pirate:
 
The Celestion DL6 is a wonderful small area speaker. Depending on what mood you are in, I find the right speaker for the right effect is what is important. I do most of my listening in the 1-10 watt range when I'm relaxing. But, if I want to recreate that being-there-live experience you can't find a replacement for displacement. A big speaker can do that without having to resort to one of those multichannel surround systems backed by a .1 sub woofer. I save the sub for my upstairs movie watching.

Nothing small about my 'area' :mrgreen: , but you're right, they are very nice for a detail low level session, scary good in fact, I've had some decerning listeners over and they left impressed, but still miss my Logans :ugeek:
 
Once I give these EPI 100V speakers a listen, I'm sure I'll be just as impressed. I have a pair of vintage Wharfdale R.S. 700 speaker stands which are NOS and haven't been assembled that would compliment them.
