Carver 1.0 amp no power

I acquired a non working carver 1.0 any ideas where to begin? The fuse in back panel is good, but no lights are on.

Look inside for a fuse or cap on the power switch, it's something you find on a lot of vintage stereo. I've seen rods that attach to the front panel and the actual switch is at the back (and my Tektronix 465M 'scope is a good example of that).
