The Madison FD stated: "This blaze was without argument the largest and most difficult fire the MFD has ever fought. "
It burned for 8 days !!!!! May 3 until May 11, could smell burnt butter and cheese for months, literally.

The Firefighter said he had butter where no man should have butter.

The fire caused 50 million pounds of food products to ooze into the surrounding area, fueling the fire. Pools of melted food mixed with water caused additional problems for officials as they were wading through “two to three feet of butter.”

Watch for butter prices to go up, and the OP link is just part of a pattern of fires in food production facilities in the US of A.

you recalled me about a fire accident occurred, here in my town back in the 90's, at a big factory of (pork) cold cuts and sausages which got totally burned.
