After disassembling a really heavy deck that caused a lot of stress getting it out the door without it taking me with it, I slept in and got up wobbly and here it is, the new compuiter desk!

The lack of a drop on this desk has greatly helped my typing and comfort!

I am very pleased with the change.

I added my Hitachi SR-5010 Class G from ~1980 and that's the icing on the cake. I have scanner room too...Miriya copy.gif[/attachment:2chroise]

Tell ya what, I'll get one of the thingies Larry and Jerry have to patch the TT into the Dell and burn you copies of the Lps.

I told you it was a special DJ set right? There's interviews with alot of the musicans that were alive in 1982 before the fade in of the songs (very cool but kind of annoying after several listens). A true treasure for sure :thumbleft:

Just about any I can. I've sung Girl From Ipanema and Dream A Little Dream Of Me many times over the years. Whatever works.

Here are the Altec Model three crossovers Lee helped me getThree No 1.JPG[/attachment:38d3fhuj]Three No 2.JPG[/attachment:38d3fhuj]

I also got a stray Pioneer CS model, a small unknown model because the ID plate is missin although it has many aspects of the 1968-70 models and has a round silver plastic Pioneer logo only grille badge.Piobadge.jpg[/attachment:38d3fhuj]

It has a spot to be hung that looks a lot like a mid seventies small Sony pair I have.Piohook (1).jpg[/attachment:38d3fhuj]

There are markings on the back, one being a Japanese two character stamp and KS-O (zero) CDJapanese marking.JPG[/attachment:38d3fhuj]

The woofer is only 5W but I hope that with the tweeter it will work okay for my FM-P300 AM-PM-SW tube receiver.

Well Gee, had a bunch of pics ready to go, managed to close the composition window.

Back at it.

I have a pair of speaker stands for surround types, one of which I stepped on and bent slightly. No matter here, it's behind the desk.

First though, although I may have already asked before, would you trust this creature not to kill you?ELSIE_WTF.JPG[/attachment:2wjc4yz6]

I say she's definitely a NINJA!

Now we're going to to show attaching thescrew-on base the LOW-TECH WAY (TAPE). When that example is finished you'll see the results.y99fu75tujgjhgjkee7777 (20).JPG[/attachment:2wjc4yz6]y99fu75tujgjhgjkee7777 (21).JPG[/attachment:2wjc4yz6]y99fu75tujgjhgjkee7777 (22).JPG[/attachment:2wjc4yz6]y99fu75tujgjhgjkee7777 (23).JPG[/attachment:2wjc4yz6]y99fu75tujgjhgjkee7777 (24).JPG[/attachment:2wjc4yz6]y99fu75tujgjhgjkee7777 (6).JPG[/attachment:2wjc4yz6]

There it is!

More pics over the evening.

Re: Busy nocturne at Chez Orange with fun pics of my crap et

I got ahold of a man who does welding and can help me build my antenna tower, bike rack and work needed to finish the Rollfast's rear rack/saddlebag holder.

My Schwinn is going in to have the original kickstand put back on after it lost a bolt that held it in place besides the two brazing points. I was unaware and a few kick up and down left it dangling and I had to pull it off. I used a different stand for a while but it wasn't quite right and the bike would fall over with a small load.

I'm going try and get the JC Higging fenders I made up in white with deep green vinyl striping and then I can install the Zephyr light repro and my adapted Hawthorne tank.Fender front.JPG[/attachment:13r5v0lq]Fender front (1).JPG[/attachment:13r5v0lq]MVC-003S.JPG[/attachment:13r5v0lq]Rear fender waiting again.jpg[/attachment:13r5v0lq]

Yes, I made those fender myself...along with the tank I had so much joy from the results! I felt peachy as I idn't expect it to be as nice.

More by this evening...

Re: Busy nocturne at Chez Orange with fun pics of my crap et

Today has been a WONDERFUL day!

My bike came back with the original kickstand braised back on, the fenders, soon to have a tank and lights.

I found a JVC SVHS HR-6800U for $15.

A pair of Viewsat FTA satellite receivers for my Super Dish HD antenna and upcoming tower for it, rotor, off air VHF-UHF antenna and a line for shortwave.

I found the Ford JBL audio kit still there but only with the LORAN cassette...somebody ate the wet head cleaner and the bottle.

I still have the cassette though which is okay because I've never had one.

The original party that wanted my MCS turntable dropped out but I still have somebody in line and he's a frequent buyer..

I have to recharge the camera battery but I found a bunch of cabinet doors and drawer faces that will cover the spaces PERFECTLY and they all have a spot I canreach in and easily open them as well as some hinges that fall inward and keep the doors closed.

This was a fun day!

Re: Busy nocturne at Chez Orange with fun pics of my crap et

I spent $30 at our recycled building materials store for some nice front panels with detentes and some internal hinging for the storage on the sides of the deck spots as well as cover over the holes of the desk bottom.

Definitely a great buy!

Somebody ate the wet cassette cleaner and fluid bottle that was in the Ford/JBL Audio driver's promo kit but I did get the Loran premium cassette (that WAS wrapped)... 3 days earlier the entire thing would have been unharmed. I found that much though.

My $25 Digital Satellite System pair of receivers are Ultra Viewsat VS2000's and I'm supposed to have all the stuff, the remote is there. I have somebody who can build my tower and build a mounting space for the SuperDISH HD antenna my rotor and a new antenna as well as a line for shortwave. I have a top piece my late friend's family gave me along with a lot of galvanized steel pipe. I finally have a way to realize my new tower.

I have the Dish Network antenna combiner as well!

I found an Olympus NiMH charger for $1.75 so I can charge my four NiMH AA cells I used to use with the flash unit for my old Mamiya 1000 SDTL and that is also sweet.

I( bought some nice 1.00 LPs, quality assumed hardly perfect but I found Eagles Greatest Volume One in the jacket, no cover, Barbra Streisand GH which has to be early 70s as twelve LPs are sown on back and the last two are Funny Girl and the one after and He Touched Me is the one I really recognize...Highwqy 101 2,...what musxt be a fairly early RCA Victor mono Tchaikovsky Symphony no. 6 "Pathetique" licensed from the Gramophone Company, LTD and performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra, Guido Cantelli, Conductor.

The cover is open at the bottom but this is one I will post a picture off as soon as I recharge the battery.

I also got Olivia Newton-John's Totally Hot, featuring With A Llittle More Love and Totally Hot and the first one making it a great find as it's a personal favorite and a great job once again by John Farrar. I bought a Warner Bros. mono copy of Peter, Paul and Mary's In The Wind, not because I really recognized the songs but because a young, happy, and skinny Mary Travers is flanked by her two dapper partners and they all looked so damned carefree and happy I had to get it...it's a gorgeous cover!

Somebody added In Concert to the sleeve, also in mono so I may be blessed!

Maynard Ferguson-Conquistador and that masterpiece Audio Fidelity DFS 7777, Stereo Spectactular Demonstration & Sound Effects

I have a box of Scotch 203 to check out and at $1.00 a 7" box at my friend Bob's shop it might be fun.

Last of all I bought a book, Big and Rich by Big Kenny and John Rich and it's unspoiled with the DVD still in there and untouched...

Now THAT is NEAT!

Now if I overspent it was some of the best overspending I have ever done.
