Looking for advice as I look at this Nelson Pass-designed board and kit from DIY's store for a two-way active crossover: https://diyaudiostore.com/products/analog-crossover-network-lx-mini-kit. The board kit appears to be complete so I'll just need to add the power supply and chassis/box plus connectors, switches, etc.
Other than some repairs to auxiliary driving light wiring, I've not raised a soldering iron in anger since I build my Dyanco integrated amp in 1975. I still have the Weller SP23L 25 watt iron with a pencil tip in decent shape, a reel of 60/40 rosin core solder (my normal repair solder) and some WBT silver solder left from the Dynaco build. That's it. Just looking at the photos on the website, I think that's all I'd need to build the board but I've been known to be wrong before. I'm also curious about the best way to build the chassis for this as I can't see where DIY is supporting the ACN chassis and chassis parts anymore. There's no listing on their website for the box and the links to the European distributor lead to 404 error-ed pages. I'm assuming I'd need to purchase this box (https://diyaudiostore.com/products/galaxy?variant=47164935766295) and have a machine shop drill the appropriate holes? What about labeling jacks on the back panel - how is that accomplished?
Any help while I decide if this is a good winter's day project would be helpful. Many thanks!
