Biasing a tube amp

I sold a 13 watt tube amp that would push my Epos which are 87 and 89 spl. It sounded good. Power isn't always everything. It is nice to have but that 13 watt amp sounded very nice.

I'd make sure that the amp is capable of handling 15 ohm speakers before you run her for any length of time.

Hi John,

That's what's neat about this tube amp: it has taps for 4, 8, and 16 ohm speakers, and if I'm not mistaken- a centre channel speaker, too.

It will be cool to see what you think of a Brit speaker. Some don't like them. Just like some don't like east coast or west coast speakers.

Okies just checking before the fireworks start. :rabbit: Quite a few tube amps have multiple ohm outputs to handle different loads. :thumbright:

Here are pictures of my Heathkit AA-32 integrated tube amplifier. It has seven tubes: 4 X ECL86 and 3 X 6EU7. Output is an advertised 12 wpc at 8 ohms. I hope to fire it up this weekend. I've done some initial cleaning, in and out.
