At a recent car club gathering, one of the kids had this bad boy parked out front:

To bad it wasn't the pace car edition with that little 302 in it. I begged my dad to buy one. He didn't like the spoiler on the back. LOL

PRIME RIB BURGERS???????????????
Yup, our local car club meets the first Thursday of each month at the A&W restaurant. This Canadian chain has a long standing tradition of sponsoring and supporting car clubs.

The owner of the bike is dressed as the Root Bear. A&W are noted for the finest root beer made.

HMMMMMM>....................'Cuda or Challenger???
It's a 'Cuda. He owns two other muscle cars, including a 1966 Barrett-Jackson-purchased GTO, and a 1969 Camaro SS 396.

And that '74 Torino is a rare one! I haven't seen one with the big window in the C-pillar before, must be a Canadian thing.
I believe it's a '76. I hadn't realized it was uncommon to have that window in the C-pillar. My best friend, Chad, owned a '76 Torino. He hated driving it and always tossed me the keys. I liked driving it.

THAT warms an old Pontiac man's heart.
Ralph, a friend of mine from way back, has owned just about every muscle car of the time. He is a Pontiac lover, and owned no fewer than three Pontiac GTO Judges: 1969, 1970 and 1971. All his cars were in impeccable, original condition. His fastest car, however, was a 1970 Ford Torino Cobra 429 SCJ. His brother, James, owned the spitting image of it: same colour, options. He killed himself shortly after buying it in a loss of control accident hitting another car head-on. He took one of his friends with him that night. Two deaths in the small community of Britannia Beach was horrible... Ralph still hasn't gotten over it. That was in 1978.

I, almost, bit it in two serious car accidents. I wonder if I knocked off a couple of years from my parents' life span. They're still clicking along in their 80's, so they've accepted it, but never will forget my young adult years.

Oh My, I just talked to some of my Ford buds, and that '76 is rare-0-mundo!! with that half vinyl roof and that window...the T-Birds from those years had that window, the Torino's and most T-Birds had slat-like triple windows in the C pilars (invocking the slat trim pieces on the body of the '61 thru '63 Birds) ///, \\\
