I shopped at mendelsons once back in the '70s. It was a huge surplus store that derived inventory form NCR in Dayton, and Air Force surplus from Wright Patterson. I do not recall much about the inventory except that it was not audio related. I'm sure most of the worthwhile parts will end up at CEI.

I'm about an hour away from Mendel-junks. Their building takes up a city block and is about 6 stories high. Only the thirdd floor is open to the pulic. The third floor has tons and tons of junk and old, old components. I bought about 4000 silpads there a few years ago and found some exact switches for early 700B's. They had a lot of germanium transistors for the V/I limiter circuits. I've also bought wire there. I hope they're not shutting down as I usually make a trip there once a year.
