The SwAmp, switching amplifier was a Class D Amplifier.
Here is some interesting info on it:
The Infinity DSP Switching Amplifier (or SwAmp) was the earliest Class D amplifier to have been made available to consumers: 1976.

Lee don't know much about them but I was out metal detecting and dug up an old Lafayette amp in a muddy area a while back, it was spring so kind of swampy...

I thought it was one of those You Tube amps that the guy digs out of the swamp sprays it with the hose and then lets it dry then plugs it in.
