Amazon used leading technology to become a leader in online marketing.

Once they built the infrastructure to handle seasonal peaks, they then learned to use the excess capacity during non peak times to offer cloud services like AWS.
 
What was there original entry in the market then? What technology got their foot in the door?
 
It doesn't take a lot of technology to sell any crap people will offer.
 
I do know amazon has already bought a facility to test and make delivery drones . By 2016 I think they want all deliveries to be made by drones. So if nothing else id say that will deff make them a technological big guy!

Look at Fedex, Microsoft. They all stuck their necks out. Amazon in certain markets has same day grocery delivery. Thinking out of the box. Lose money for a bit to make money in the end. Free 2 day shipping with Prime. Costs 10.00 a month. If I were to pay for shipping it would cost me a lot more. I can get things cheaper on Amazon than I can at Lowes most of the time. Plus I can sit in my cave and do it.
