Machined slots above the power supply, and added to the heatsink.
That should solve the problem even with all the heat in Stuwee's apartment! ;)
begging your pardon, but it's a 40x20ft room, and it still could use a vent...sayth Dr. Drew Pinskey!!

SYNC DUMP= you can erase the 3rd track without erasing the other two and rerecord cues and voiceovers (including cueing tones used to automate production.

I think so, I haven't tried it, it should be fun for kary-0-kee night!! I have a beautiful voice :occasion9: :compress: :king: :compress: :toothy2:

IIRC, Fostex holds the record for most tracks you can put on a 1/4" tape, 16 if my google is correct, it depends on the head configuration, wicked stuff for sure, I found a pic of one of their stranger units...an ADAT!!!

ADAT originally came from a company Alesis, I believe Fostek became a sorta second source to the format in an attempt to make it succeed. ADAT used video tape and I believe the first ones had 8 tracks. Most had transport problems as the video mechanics could not stand up to the constant start, stop, rewind, fastforward of multi-track recording. Alesis did have some nice reverb units at the time at a good price point. Quadraverb was the one I owned for several years.

Teac followed the bandwagon with a Hi-8 based system. Theirs worked much better but was rather expensive. By the time Teac had things working well the technology was moving to digital.

I hace bought some Alesis gear for some musician friends, a synthsiser comes to mind. IIRC about a 3500.00 unit.

This just can't be good.....

Lee, Alesis was one of the first companies that really made an impact on musicians with a new generation of equipment at prices working folks could afford.

BTW: Both the ADAT and HI-8 were digital formats on tape..... The random access of hard-drive recording was to arrive shortly in the market.

Robert that's exactly what my friends said. It's been over 4 years now and they still don't know what all it can do.

Behringer did what Alesis first did but about 10 years later. The initial Behringer stuff was based on German design but manufactured for super cheap in China. At the time there were lots of babble on them borrowing designs from others and flooding the market. I was never totally convinced they did it anymore than all the others except they excelled at manufacturing.

I have a small euro board, 12 channels, cost about $60.00..... It is an amazing board at that price.

I'd given 284 for the 24, lot of goodies on it. I have some CD's they recorded, Lankman was the name. One of those natural born piano players, and on a syth he was getting good. had a vocorder and a looper and 2 PL 700's and a PL 200 pushing some heresies and KG-5's.
