We had over 4 inches of rain this week. Got some things to do now. Was washing my patio earlier. I'm still learning on my roses. Hope we have a good week.Lot needs to be done. Bought my Tulip bulbs.Wonder if the mice will eat them next year.

This is really weird, I was looking outside the clouds were coming from the south, but the wind on the ground was coming from the north, very tornado like. Now they're flashing tornado watches and warning for Tucson on the TV. Funnel clouds reported, no touchdowns yet

Well that was intense, we must have got over 2 inches in a couple hours, more lightning than I've seen in years, I had to unplug everything just in case. Poor Annie was in the bathroom most of the time, she'd wander into my room to see what was up, then one would hit close to the house and she'd trip over herself tryin' to get back into the bathroom, poor thing..she's parked right on my foot now. Just a light rain and the low 70's again, very nice :thumbright:

For the past two weeks we have been experiencing the summer we never had. September has always been my favourite month. Temperatures have been hovering around 30 C and dipping to 7 C at night. I've been doing lots of fishing for prawns and I've been giving out gift bags of fresh prawns, almost weekly. This has been great cruising weather out in the Buick GN, and it's probably going to be on the road to at least mid October.

Nothing wrong with scooter cruising, Larry. Most of the young girls, here in town, drive them, too.

Ya need a bench seat in that puppy so you can drape your arm around Geri while you drive it :D Why are the boat speedo's in Canada in MPH?

It's nice to see Geri without a sweater enjoyin' the weather, she's such a cutiepie, give her a big kiss from me :love4:

Hi stuwee,

Regarding the speedo: my boat is a 1969 model, so no kmph gauge back then. It was built in California. I'll have to get Geri to take another picture of the speedo and tach when I wrap it. I was doing 4500 rpm at the time, and the motor winds up to 6200 rpm. I was taking it easy this day, as it's the first time it has been in the water this year.

We cruised for more than two hours in Howe Sound, and I can't think of a better way to spend the afternoon, or how to use up 5 gallons of fuel.

That beach where we parked is my old homestead, where I grew up. Every time we go out boating we stop there for lunch and refreshments.

Geri loves the compliment!

Damn, I'm jealous. I miss boating, we could've done that in front of the house the other night, most of the city got 2 to 3 inches of rain it was a lake out there  . 20 swiftwater rescues including two handicapped ladies and their dog got sweeped 100 yards down a flooded wash with water up to the car windows!!

Hi Lee,

Sometimes, it's more fun to get to the fishing hole than fishing. This boat doesn't troll slow enough to salt water fish for salmon, anyway. Next year, I'll see about getting a used electric trolling motor. There's great fishing in Howe Sound right now for chinook and coho.
