A Shot in The Dark

Supplier commitment is currently at 25 days, I plan on having black and silver versions at that time.

Faceplate = $115
Meters = 2x $60 = $120
Meter Board Kit (pair) = $45
Meter Sub Panel Bracket (pair) = $20.70

Total = $300.70

In addition, you will need:
Main Power Switch = $24.72
Level Potentiometers = 2x $3.87 = $7.74
Sensitivity Switch = $4.26
Don Imlay's triac switch = $ Market Price

This investment will get you a really sexy new faceplate design for your old PL400

I really like the triac idea
The triac board serves as the power switch. The 700B had a switch that was woefully misapplied to handle the inrush current. Here is a link on A.K. that discusses the triac circuit in detail. Unobtanium power switch.

The existing power switch controls the triac. The board mounts on the the chassis and uses the existing bottom screw that holds the driver board. This avoids drilling the chassis. Here is the EBAY link or PM me. Power switch PCB.
