Those Clair's are looking sweet Perry. I do love those new face plates - they really set off the meters - the contrast is spot on.

Yeah they do pop. Too bad I'm about out of them. I could use a few more.
It seems that the Phase Linear line of amplifiers and their cousins (700 series) are selling for way too much to purchase, modify and resell. The word has definitely gotten out.

Yup, I can't even find blown up ones now... And they got the prices jacked up for non upgraded (ready to blow) units.... I can see a wopl selling for 2 grand since there is so much labor involved and the cost of the core unit being between $600 and $1000..... DAMN, it aint worth it. Last year you didn't see a lot of them on the bay, now they are coming out of the closet.. (kinda like my brother)....

Glad it wasn't you coming out... :confused1:

Damn prices are crazy high. I've seen some 700Bs for $1.5k stock.

The 700's are finally catching up to there original selling price. I can remember paying right at $1000.00 bucks for my
700 seriesII in 1978. With the cost of inflation they still may be a bargain.

You didn't say how much you wanted for them.
They had their chance. These are headed to the shop to power some Bose 901's . Power hungry little mothers the 901's. These were bought new in 72 along with the Series one 700 I have. They will make great back yard tunes.
