700B WOPL Audition List

If Mike is so close, I'd be happy to make the handoff in person. Mike can come here and listen, and then I can take it to him, and listen to his system. I've wanted to hear DQ10's for many years...
 
Jimmy had dropped his 400 off and he had owned some DO 10's. After hearing my K's he said don't waste my time trying out the DQ's.

Hey Laz, Thanks for the invite up to your place buddy. I wish I could but my health just won't let me. my lungs are shot from 40 years
of smoking, welding, painting and fiberglas work. My doc calls it COPD. So I'm pretty well stuck here.
You are more then welcome to come on down and give the Dahlquists a listen. That would be great. Bring your fave Lp's and cds.

Lee I know your K horns would blow the Dahlquists away. But I do also like horns. I have some Altec vott's out in my shop that
someday I hope to get into the house. But I know what the 700 would do to them. I believe it was Ernie Bozak that said: "if you want
good sound, you have to have big speakers.
Anyone out there ever heard stacked Dahlquists with dual lp1 subs? That is my future system with two Pl700's.

Nope, but a couple of Twangfests ago, I heard stacked Bose 901's powered by an amazingly well built home-built tube amp. I never heard anything else sound so good in open air. It was the hit of that particular T-fest, and they were built by some old guy whose name escapes me...

BTW, thanks for the invite! When the time comes, we'll set aside a day, and I'll haul the WOPL to you very early in the day. We can play some tunes and hear in awe.

Dave (premiumplus) has got most of that and we shall have a speak-ofg one of these dsys...
