All testing completed and passed with flying colors.

Finial listening sessions confirm it sounds excellent, just as expected for a full custom hand assembled WOPL build - highly detailed, silent background, punches way above it's price point.

Unfortunately both meters have residue on the internal surface of the lenses visible when backlit. I was not able to get the meters apart easily to clean, given they are not easily replaced if damaged. I was not willing to take the risk with 40 year old brittle material...

Scott will definitely have a one of a kind...

Eric, great work! Glad you pulled this all together.
Thanks, Joe.

It was an interesting challenge of a project.

Probably spent more time trying to figure out the over temp light and faceplate wiring than anything else, given I didn’t have the original amp to start with.

Scott sent just enough pictures of the original amp to figure everything out and complete wiring.

Hearing the resulting sound in the end makes all the effort worthwhile and this hobby even more enjoyable.

I have been gone, away from computers, phones etc. Just got home a little while ago, so I did not see the final amplifier buttoned up. I opened the pictures Eric, and said "WoW" out loud, that project turned out absolutely stunning....and I know how sweet it sounds. Artwork, that is artwork.
What's next now? Maybe a Dual 500? :)..........That would be a challenge.
Beautiful work, once again, on this 700 !

After looking at the amp over multiple listening test sessions, I just could not get past the debris on the interior of the meter lenses.

After discussion with Scott, I decided to risk opening the meters to allow cleaning.

Successfully cleaned and reassembled both meters.

Looks super nice Eric.
A true classic, it's all in the details.

Update on the Series 1 First Ever Complete WOPL:

Arrived without issue, first try is in the mancave replacing a 400 full WOPL running mid and tweets - 400 Hz and upward. Actually driving a Faital Pro midrange and a Satori beryllium tweets.

Only an hour or so listening last night but sure sounded good to me, just need more time to be sure but seemed an improvement. Eventually plan to try on the bottom of this system (400 Hz and lower), replacing a Crown amp that pushes 1500 watts/ch, and also going full range in the living room system driving HPM 200's. Hope to do some extensive listening this weekend.

You've got a beautiful amp there, a true PL classic.
Watch the prices increase now on these early 700's.
Eric paved the way, and showed everyone how it can be done!
