$50 DAC with swappable opamps paired with WIIM MINI run through WOPL 400 and PL3300 preamp.

Printed sharpness is suspect as well. Usually, Ti stuff is sharply printed that I've worked with anyway.

Same for BB chips (and salsa).

The included NE5532P sounds great to me at 39.95 price tag. Still waiting on the Digikey components to arrive.

I am sure that some would think why worry about the op amps being fakes or not in such a cheap piece of shit? Well way I look at it I love messing around with the real inexpensive stuff a lot. Its just fun to see what I can get out of it and it being so cheap to start with I do not really want to introduce a fault of some kind and watch a shotgun of smoke come from it and possibly something else in the system because of it. Thank you @Gepetto .

Well here we go now. These are the pics of the Op Amps from Digikey. OP1656. Sorry, A little tougher to see because I did not want to take them out of the protective plastic until I decided I had the nerve to try and solder them in. The ones on the left are the ones from Digikey. On the right the ones from Ali. Wonder who is lying...

Get some paste flux on the board, tin one leg of the chip, set it and flow the tinned leg.

Then heat/flow the other legs one at a time.

Clean and inspect under 10x loupe for any bridging, but with the flux it’s actually pretty easy. Hell, I can do it and I fix things with hammers.

Just deciding if I wanna buy three adapters or de solder the Ali ones and use those adapters. I think I can solder and de solder em. I definitely got what I need to do it besides a steady hand! Thanks Jim.

If you can get adapters cheaply enough I’d do that. Then you can quickly swap back and forth

Ordered a few different sets from a few different places just to check them out, see whats up with the quality and such. Also, I will have plenty to practice (fuck up) on just in case you know. Fact is its just a play toy. The FiiO K11 R2R is so much better that it will never find its way permanently into a main system. Still fun though. A little lightweight learning project for me. @Sunnbobb thanks for the info. Oh and @J!m even with everything I have ordered I still wont have 100.00 in all of it. Have not counted it up but I am pretty sure of that. Very cheap stuff this.

@Sunnbobb after looking at the pictures of the OPA 1656 that "adeleparts2010" has for sale on ebay they appear to be an exact match for the OPA 1656 that I bought from Ali E. They look nothing at all like the ones from Digikey. I think they sound just fine though. Who knows.... Image one ebay. Image two Ali E. Image three Digikey.

I have a Chan's Audio AD 1865R R2R w/JM5532 opamps to sometime swap into my system for comparison. I'll be curious...

I wonder about the "Bar" marking on the left of the chip as opposed to the "Dot" adjacent to Pin 1. All the Ti and BB chip I have (Mouser and Digikey) have the dot.

The dot is official, not the bar. TI has a spec for where the pin 1 marking needs to occur and that bar does not conform.
