Owned a pair from 78-79. He's not exaggerating. Simply the clearest, cleanest most life like sounding speaker I have ever heard. Power hungry sons a bitches, and all I had back then was a Spec 2, and the 2 didn't like pushin em past 200 watts a channel. They were supposed to take 300 pretty easy IIRC. They had a 12 inch cone. The A's had an 18" cone and were a pure amp eater. I'd l;ike to throw a WOPL 1000 on a pair, my goodness.....

Years ago I was searching for a speaker for my first Great system,,,I auditioned a pair of them and was astounded at the sound,,,smoooooth,,I also listened to Dahlquist,, Maggies,,Bose 901,,and Technics SB7000A

there are 2 pair on Seattle's craigslist right now... i think he's asking too much, but it would make for a nice HT rig.
