Brazil v Chile is starting to get interesting as we are tied up near the 80 minute mark. Mexico v Netherlands tomorrow ought to be interesting as well.

Well well well... both my dad and I thought it was over after the 1-0 of Mexico, then Sneijder finally showed what he was capable of. Then finally a penalty for the third time Robben was taken down by Huntelaar, and the tables were turned in that game!

This year's World Cup will become known as "The Underdog Series." Congratulations to Netherlands and all their fans!

Nando.

It was a great game, congrats to all Dutch team and fans!

Now , as a neutral observer ,
I can say that Brazil and Netherlands have been very lucky .
Anyways that's the soccer .
Ciao

Only two more weeks of all this...:happy7:

Felt bad for Mexico, really thought they had pulled off a big upset there. Brazil continues to sneak through unconvincingly. Looking forward to seeing how Germany is looking. I'm starting to feel better about their chances. We'll see.

USA - Belgium tomorrow has my nerves on edge. Fingers crossed, but that's going to be a tough one.

As we approach the QFs, the only teams that have impressed me have been France and Costa Rica.

Brazil were very lucky the other night.

Robben's diving is nothing new; Suarez let himself down and I still hate all the tattoos and silly haircuts.

I don't have "second" teams (only England for me), but I'll keep my fingers crossed for the USA later. :)

Well I hope neither of the South American countries win. They have been lacklustre.

I think the entire tournament has been praised too highly in the press. Plenty of quality individuals and passion amongst the smaller nations - but few (if any) good teams playing attractive football.

Incidentally, one of the criticisms that I would level against England (despite being completely shit), is their lack of emotion. If they can't put some effort into singing the national anthem, then they are screwed before the match has even begun.

Yeah, I don't think anyone is surprised Brazil lost, especially after the injury and suspension. People are surprised they were completely demolished and demoralized and frankly embarrassed. That was certainly the most comprehensive destruction of a team at that stage of a World Cup that I can remember.

Brazil blew their wad early and didn't leave anything for when it really counted :evil4: hence the complete obliteration by Germany.

Or this for me...
