1 watt fm transmitter build

Son, i would say that's more up Jerry's or Dr. Lucitt's alley. They're old navy tech's. Hell, I can barely fix something that reprouduces audio, let alone transmit it.
 
What Mouser build list are you talking about? The publisher of the schematic should have done that.
 
This is a typical 88-108 Mhz band transmitter. Some of the connections and wire runs are critical (short) because of the high frequency. You will also need a shielded enclosure (box) to put it all in and run an antenna out of the box. The parts alone will probably be $50-$75 because you are buying ones and twos. Have you considered something like this:

I have looked at the whole house transmitters and with our vast, unpopulated areas, 200 foot wouldn't cover from one side of our oilfield locations to the other (in a few instances), let alone from one location to another. I would need something closer to 800 to 1500 foot.
