I have just discovered that my amp does have a problem, somehow I do not think that the output transistors should give me a 120 volt AC shock when I touch them so something is leaking AC but it is not making it to the speakers because there is no hum at all

Hooked up my amp today, works great, meters do not agree with each other but that does not affect the sound, need to find an HD radio tuner so I can get rid of the FM radio noise and have clean classical music

like most heating elements, it's resistance rises as it gets hot, if it gets too hot, it will fail, if you use it in a bucket of water, the heat rise should not be very much, since they are cheap, you could always test this theory in a water heater, the thermostat turns off the heating elements...
