indeed. i just wish more rock albums were available in this format. DVD-A can be very good as well, but i prefer SACD. its just a bit smoother and sweeter.

by the date i'd say you are right. i dont know of PhaseTech, but they look like they could be good.

from my limited experience with DefTech, they are well made with quality components, better suited for HT than for music (lacking a bit of refinement), but $150 is a good price for the big models.

in a different application the blu-tac might become necessary, but i found no need as the rubber grips the rack and speakers nicely.

i've used a dedicated equalizer in the past (several decades ago), and i wouldnt have a problem with using one again if i felt there was a need to.

depends on the equipment and application. the venerable Pioneer HPM-100 speaker is a good example. in my experience its a speaker that is impossible to sound good without proper equalization. other cases may be room dependent. Larry, my apologies if i've misunderstood what you've done...

thats good to hear Lee. the seller said they were not meant to be stained, but the students were bored and did them anyway. i saw a few cosmetic issues when they were loaded, but nothing that looked anything more than superficial.
