    J.A. Michell Prisma restoration

I am honest trying to remember how that was assembled. I do know that you are VERY close to having the potentiometer fly apart at that stage... I lost a wiper brush during an “oopsie” right about this stage. For some reason I’m thinking you don’t have to remove that part. I THINK... you need to...

Round belt in groves pulley. Possibly means the strobe idler? You can eliminate the strobe with a shorter belt. Also it seams many parts are interchangeable between michell models. Parts might be available new still. The belts are all the same length also.

Sorry that wasn’t of any help. I believe I have seen some of his ads for NOS parts also. There was a fella on Canuck audio mart a while back who listed/sold a Prisma which had a replacement (non original motor) but came with the original, not working motor. I reached out to him asking if the...

Hello Dennis, glad to hear you’re still working at it. I did get some helpful responses from michell but that was pre CoronAIDS. I think they basically shut down due to the ‘rona. I do not know any other Prisma owners and my tone arm is different than yours, however I do have the original prisma...

Sweet shop! Looks like my kinda place! Love the Sansui gear too, grew up with the stuff. Here’s pops AU-7900. Great little amp. He uses it as the high frequency amp in a bi-amp setup. Using a QSC for the lows rn but think I will be building a WOPL 700b to take its place for him.

Lister was in production much later than 1929... I’m thinking into the 50’s but I’m not a lister buff despite owning one (for shame). I read recently that the last of the lister works in Dursley England was finally bulldozed just recently. I have a big Ruston 5HR also which many of those are...

Thanks Gene. That tractor is a 1925 Fordson. Ford produced the engines but I believe the very early ones were produced by Buda? Can’t recall for sure. That tractor has had a heart transplant though... old Henry Ford might be rolling in his grave as she’s GM powered now... 6v53 Detroit Diesel...
