I always thought it was a bad idea to expect any site to keep what you want available indefinitely. I can always find space for what pics and other data I have. Then swap out HDs occasionally for backup and to increase capacity.

Do you think the Pentium IV won't be affected? It uses virtual memory too doesn't it? I may have to go back to the old Dx40 with win3.11 ..oh no.

Its all a matter of taste. I find the louder I listen, the more I prefer the clean preamp sound. However at moderate to low levels the tubes do sound sweet, especially on old recordings or records. On guitar its tube all the way.

It's most important in live gear. Most guitar amps have a polarity reverse switch. You don't want to be grabbing a mic in a rain storm and have the polarity of the mic and the guitar reversed...ouch. On home gear I always consider grounding the chassis together if hum is a problem and observe...
