Finally closed this can of worms today. Installed LF351N and it didn't change anything. Switched to OP134 and that solved the problem. Pops gone. Thanks for your help guys.

Maybe your finding a copy of windows on a different HDD. Do a F8 when you boot and make sure your booting from the correct drive.

So your trying to boot from CD drive? In Asus bios they often have one place where you enable the CD drive as bootable and another lower drop down where you set the drive boot sequence. Maybe that is what your looking for.

If you have win running, you can run msconfig.exe and turn off windows Os from the boot screen.

I'd try booting to a syamtec norton Ghost recovery disc. Then run your linux from there.

The green reminds me of a Panasonic receiver from the 70s. Maybe not my first choice, but nice.

This is the third color I've done them in, one yellow, one red and now the blue. The needles are so thin, you can't see them unless your close anyway. As for which color looks best, I think it depends on the colors of the other equipmet with them.
