And.................It's pretty damn fantastic to own a WOPL & belong to this forum. These folks can diagnose anything.
What other brand offers direct access to the product creator??
I grew up close to Ann Arbor Michigan. My four years of high school I was captain of the debate team & spent a LOT of time at the U of M Law library. When I'd take a break I'd go annoy the staff at a stereo shop near the diag. They carried Mac & PL. My senior year 72, I first saw the series 1...
Those type tonearms look like a pain for cartridge swapping. I shake too much & need the arm or headshell upside down to get the bolts started. I imagine threaded cartridges help a bit?
3009 series 3; Bingo?

I borrowed the TT pic from AK
Geeze................My first impression was something StarTrek also.
The threaded rod that the weight string is attached to is unique.
You can do a whole thread here on dialing that beauty in.
Here's a late welcome to the group. I look forward to your Pioneer contributions. We are all picture hungry here.
I have a couple Bulgarian military weapons. Some of the finest craftsmanship in the world.
Do you have any nice audio gear that is manufactured in Bulgaria? It's always fun to see...
"I can’t touch anything that compares for less than $2500 at local brick and mortars. "
I can't touch anything that cost $2,500.00.
With a WOPL project, you can do one piece at a time like Johnny Cash.
Welcome to Phoenix.
B-17's ROCK!
My worthless advice; No need to make a quick decision. There's a lot to consider & the answers are all here.
I'm like Fishoz. I've been building kits since the sixties. I bought all of the parts for a 700b WOPL build.
After two years of 'almost ready to start'...
Christmas present from Marla. Jack White double album. Just put it on. Not bad so far........
I've heard of Jack White, but only because of his record pressing plant in Detroit.
I have not watched ANY network news since election night in Nov. 2018. Not one second even by mistake for over a year now.
I thought it would be hard, being a political junkie since grade school.
I don't miss it a bit.
Not even for Linda will I break my sabbatical.
( I did peek at the Fox...
I never could stand the guy. But since this will be my first Thanksgiving with legal MM, I'll substitute with 'Nothing lasts..........But nothing is lost'..
Who know's what else Perry might spot. I know money is tight, but a free amp health check up is well worth it .
And this is exactly why I want another WOPL for backup. I'd be having withdrawals as soon as mine went in the box.
A loaner program like a car dealership would be nice! Heh...Heh
Lptunes seems to be the same company, but has lower prices on what I have looked at.
150mlx stylus is $330.00 at lptunes & $600.00 at lpgear.
Both outfits based in Nevada.
Between Ebay & turntableneedles.com & Japanese vendors, I'm good.
LPtunes.com in the U.S. has nice prices also.
No shortage of cartridge retippers here in the U.S. either.
I doubt this fellow retiring will have much impact. I wish him well.
