Acquired one of these a few weeks ago and it sure is not pretty as my PL 2000II but really woke the range of my Nikko Alpha II and the JBL 150's. Seems to have a twitchy relay that takes 15 to 30 second to kick in fully on the left channel but I always let my amp warm up a bit anyway before...

Anyone use or have opinions about passive preamps? Trying to learn about them. Thank you.

I'm having problems with the balance control that is good for a couple of days after cleaning but then static returns. Wondering if it needs to be taken apart if possible and gone over with a bit more finesse? Anyone ever need to do this or is another solution out there that I'm missing? Thank You
