I agree Bob, that is Seeger's best work on The Distance. Love it every time I hear tunes from that release. I saw Seeger 2 nights back to back (the Garden and the Worcester Centrum) when he blew through New England within the last decade. The Centrum is the best for audio concerts.
Richard, It appears that your board is built as full comp by the picture with the exception that you are missing the 1 ohm resistors in the R38R slot (and possibly the R38L slot as well). The debug instructions you appear to be following are for a quasi comp test, not full comp (I am drawing...
George, if you do not plan any rework of the wires attached to the posts, it does no harm to tack the last 1 or 2 wraps to the post with solder. It makes it a bear to rework if you ever intend to rewire (doubt that is your intent).
Sorry, it is somewhat complicated.
There is the guy who wants to install the quasi comp board quickly with minimum alteration to the internal wiring. He gets one set of instructions.
Then there is the guy who wants to max out the quasi comp board performance and is willing to make some key...

These are the gold plated versions, I use these on the Model ONE and are the same as on original PL amps except they did not use the gold plated versions.
No. Not all grounds are created equal, it is important to follow the diagram or you will create a ground loop with its associated noise and hum.
I know that this is not that intuitive but it is important.
NO wire between the input jack copper plate and the bus. That creates a ground loop.
The input jacks receive their ground connection from 2L and 2R as you have stated.
This diagram should help, it is for a 700B but the wiring is similar. Remove that white wire going to the RIGHT channel terminal position 5. That should be OPEN. The input signals only interact with terminal block 1 and 2 positions.
Ignore the input switch shown in this diagram, the 700B has...
