Big fan of the PL 1000's. They can be very useful on certain badly recorded material. Mine was just dropped onto its back and landed on the cables to the RCA jacks which are now loose. Damn it. Need to decide whether its fixable or just move to another one. Seems the Series II may be worth...

Checked it out again. The drivers now support my hardware correctly. Seems to be working fine. Does appear to be a little faster than Win 7 I was using.

Any way to upgrade that circuit ?

Nice find. Let us know how it sounds. I have a '94 Jeep that needs the stereo replaced and think it would be nice to have a Cassette deck in it. Always been an Alpine fan but have had a few Pioneers along the way that worked well also.

Any update on the AR 90's ? They are well worth picking up or at least hearing. I like my AR 9's and they are similar except have dual 10" woofers instead of 12 ".

Small world. I went to the East side once and it was just too depressing to go back. Everything was so grey looking. The people were very friendly to us . We had to go to the Zone to fire our mortars,that meant a visit to Grafenwohr,Wildflecken or Hohenfels. Dennis

Was there 75-77. Best duty station ever. Was a mortar crewman. Thats where I discovered good audio equipment and great beer. Dennis

Why yes I did. Wife and daughter took me to my favorite seafood restaurant for dinner and had a great meal. Also received some pistol and rifle ammo ,a shovel for my Jeep and a set of AudioQuest RCA's. A great day to be alive. And those ladies remind me of some good ole days in Berlin. Dennis

I use one myself. Keeps them out of the way and a handy place to coil the cord on. Dennis

In the Army it wasn't ready until the spoon would stand up in it. Drank a lot of mud back then.
