    Couple of thoughts. Remember when the D board failed? Quite a few times on power up the meters would peg. Is it possible outputs were weakened due to this, and/or heat from removing and reinstalling? Could there be another problem causing outputs to blow or is it common just for them to die...

    Battery powered solder station works a treat, up to 3 hours run time on a 18v 5amp battery. Heats up quick. About to test these guys, need a cig.

    Ok I shall get to work, need to do a quick house chore first. Once isolated, do I do the standard 6 way tests on outputs as if they were out of the backplane?

    My meter isnt that good, all 10.7-10.8 B- to C+

    The same rail fuse blew, so I thought it would be that same row, far right near the dcp.

    Diode mode B+ to E- then B+ to C- all appear shorted except for bottom output. 211 B+ to E- and 223 B+ to C- Ohms mode all about 10.7 to 11 except bottom output B+ to E- 180 and B+ to C- 190

    Same rail fuse blew, this one smoked good. I am assuming row 4 of outputs. Pico fuses ok and those 0.33-j’s are ok. Pull the outputs in that row or is there a test I can do first with them still installed?

    Lost me at the first post, pretty much all carts I own work on all arms I own. I have never had a cart/arm combo sound ‘bad’ Whats this resonance thing? What is high compliance and low compliance for arms and carts?

    Separation of frequencies eh? Sounds like that would improve sound quality. Lets see what the future holds, I may come across another PL you never know. House chores today and all I want to do is sit in the listening chair
