Frankie Jr ??????? You need this Jer

Precisely why I junked the 1/2 inch plate. Can't fucking afford a big ole cnc or drillpress nowadays (guess still having a spouse alive after a heart attack and dealing with so called "high deductible" fucking insurance was more important), so sue me..

Frankie Jr ??????? You need this Jer

LOL review the Frankey thread sometime and you might notice I did that with a 1/2 inch slab of aluminum. Yeah.. not the right tools for the job.

Okay, I think I know but...

well if you got it to work without the switch, put the switch in between one of the battery leads you do have connected and the light, and don't worry about the other wire thought I saw two reds from the light and a black??

Okay, I think I know but...

LOL well.. might it be that there are two sets of LED's inside the light and you have two red wires to power each set? Connect both reds to the positive side. Take the light apart maybe to see what's going on? High and low beams? Naaa got me..

Okay, I think I know but...

ah.. and the switch somewhere between either end and the light.

Okay, I think I know but...

Negative of the 1st one to the negative of the light, positive of the 1st one goes to the negative on the 2nd, positive out of the 2nd to the other side of the light. A cell is a cell, and to increase voltage you put them in series just like you'd stack one on top of the other in a flashlight.

    700 RCA Grounding

True true.. I think the big takeaway is to never have more than one to the chassis, which neither approach has. The original scheme had shit all over the place.

    700 RCA Grounding

I just lug em up on either end of the buss bar. If memory serves, the one on the top gets the two down to the left backplane, the bottom gets the two speaker grounds, and that left the single smaller awg for the chassis ground. DCP ground got twisted along with the B+ since I'd move the DCP...

    700 RCA Grounding

Actually it blew open. So not looking forward to seeing what else but hey.. I'll get to it eventually.

    700 RCA Grounding

LOL so in full transparency.. Frankey recently suffered the same fate with a preamp I worked on (ugh). Thought I had it with replacing the relay but last time I had time to check it out, something else started to fizzle. Hadn't had a chance since then.. but at least I didn't burn holes in my CV's

    700 RCA Grounding

+1... Lee didn't you have one trip and when it did, it really did some smoking on the traces of the DCP - basically sacrificing it but hey that's a shitload better than having to replace entire banks of outputs. Also guys think about the instantaneous current through the relay contacts just...

    700 RCA Grounding

Perry I don't do that.. when did it become the standard? I'm thinking when the mono rev G came out? I run all to the cap buss bar, except the one single ground to that left hand tie point. Must have been a revision since me last build, which has been a good while.. We need Sir Joe here to...

    Here ya go Jer...

Yeah, figure you'd need one row of PIU's .. couple of the 40 volt HP's.. 1 AFG for input.. Fucking CASS. ruined it for all .. far as I heard they now have trained monkeys posing as AT's..

    Here ya go Jer...

Gotta go track Jeff Van Lear down with the rumored HATS bench sitting in his garage lol. No shitter - I took the adapter for the old SSU's (the one with the canon plug) and ran A6 armament boxes from the AO's down the tunnel, back on the GW. They were gobsmacked hahaha.

    Here ya go Jer...

LOL.. well.. 16K on top and I think we had 16K on the "expansion" chassis. Magnetic core, baybee! I remember ole Knibbs thinking it would be smart to blow out some dust bunnies with the high pressure air hose. That unit never worked again til supply eventually found one like a year later?

    700 RCA Grounding

Nah.. it will read through the driver PCB, which is grounded by way of the star ground - which in turn is connected to the single point on the chassis. Made the mistake ONCE of thinking I shouldn't have near or close to zero ohms RCA ground to chassis.. because the dang amp before I converted...

    700 RCA Grounding

Ahh.. that.. .. yes you will see "continuity" between the RCA grounds and the chassis because of the single ground run going between the cap/star ground and the chassis by way of the left upper screw and retaining sleeve. It just won't have more than one ground connection TO the chassis. At...
