Phil Lesh, who anchored the Grateful Dead as its bassist and co-wrote some of its best-known songs, died at 84.
I was never a dead fan but respect what they did.
Counterpoint gear runs with no base resistors so they would heat the devices and measure at temperature.
Needless to say you can’t really repair them if the output fails- you need hundreds of devices to make up matched quads (SA 120) or octets (SA220).
So, I guess the equipment end would have to be specified for what it is intended to fit.
If a component has a standard IEC input, there should be a ground used for sure.
How about a nice 2-conductor replacement power cable? (not for me; just an idea)
There are a million grounded ones out there, but I haven't seen any 2-conductor ones...
A meter? I think 80-100 is reasonable.
My speaker cables are about 24 inches long. Silver plated OFC fine strands about 2ga. total with a twisted inner and Chinese finger puzzle outer. The outer is to stop rat nesting in use. These are plasma gun cables and the conductor rides in the water...
I was in a salt mine in Germany (the one they hid all the art in) and they have concerts down there... absolutely massive main room- probably 4-5 stories high area of a few football fields.
The actual "vault" has a WW-II display set up in there that's pretty cool.
