OK, the first question is, when I am searching for a PL donor unit to do a WO mod how much functionality does the PL unit have to have? Working meters, yes. But then are the output transistors being removed? What else can be missing?

what is the best forum to start throwing out my questions as a newbie?

So my buddy Ron aka Northwinds convinced me to come here and learn more about WOPLs. I had been thinking I'd get a McIntosh 2105 or such but he has been preaching the WOPL gospel. I'm here to learn more! So be kind, I can be a sensitive girl sometimes...or not!
