First off: That's a Yoko studless, snow tire. I would imagine the critical side-wall is stiff as F!
Secondly: I find it more intriguing and not so much funny, in concept. Why? Because we can't see the back and it very well may be open.
Thirdly: You can't judge what you can't see - meaning - unless some of you guys actually scored X-ray specs from the back of a Mad magazine (way back when... LOL), no one can judge what - if any - bracing has been introduced inside.
Lastly: How the driver is 'crossed over' would be pretty important. No?
